After kicking the Seahawks out of the playoffs with a stunning overtime victory, the Chicago Bears will be hosting the NFC Championship game next Sunday at Soldier Field against the new and very much improved, New Orleans Saints. Whether you were biting your nails, wearing a path in the floor or abusing the edge of whatever seat you couldn't stay in, we all held our breath and watched as the Bears found a way to win one of the most nerve racking games in recent memory. Despite the lone fumble and one unfortunate interception, Rex turned in a solid performance. Thomas Jones rushed for two touchdowns and possibly saved the game by batting down a deflected ball in the fourth quarter denying the Seahawks an almost certain interception. Then the man of the hour, Robbie Gould, hit the game winning field goal from 49 yards out propelling the Bears forward to the NFC Championship game in which they will face the leagues most dangerous offense. The defensive challenges the Bears face next week may be the most difficult of the year as Drew Brees, and the offensive weapons of Deuce McAllister, Reggie Bush and Marques Colston head into Soldier Field for what could be one of the best NFC Championship games we may ever see. I think. Who knows? All we can say is that the Bears are one win away from Miami and Super Bowl XLI! Sunday just can’t come soon enough!!
